Making a difference with SAVE THE ELEPHANTS

"Witnessing these magnificent, gentle giants for ourselves we knew we had to be involved somehow to help protect them

and ensure their survival."

This footage was filmed by us on a recent trip to Africa, which holds a very special place in our hearts. The Serengeti is one of the most magical places on earth but one mammal in particular made a huge impact on us, the Elephant.

WHY ELEPHANTS NEED OUR HELP

ONE ELEPHANT IS KILLED

APPROXIMATELY EVERY 15 MINUTES

FOR IT'S IVORY

1)Today, the International Union for Conservation of Nature lists them as vulnerable to extinction. As few as 400,000 remain today.

2) African elephants are also losing their habitat as the human population grows and people convert land for agriculture and development. Elephants need a lot of room to roam, so habitat destruction and fragmentation not only makes it harder for them to find food, water, and each other, but it also puts them in increased conflict with humans—a dangerous prospect for both.

WHY WE CHOSE THIS CHARITY

Uniquely, 100% of funds are used to support on-the-ground programmes that save elephants—not a single penny goes to administrative fees or overheads.

CHARITY MEETS FASHION - KNOT ON MY PLANET

The #KnotOnMyPlanet campaign was conceived by David Bonnouvrier, Trish Goff and Doutzen Kroes, and created and developed by the founders of Blood, George Prest and Drew Burdon. It is a campaign born in fashion and powered by influencers and brands to provide a secure future for elephants through raising funds for the Elephant Crisis Fund within the fashion industry. It pays homage to one of the key characteristics of our most noble animal - memory. Elephants never forget and to remember them, the fashion industry will wear a knot to raise awareness and stop the demand for ivory.
